Concerns about Donald Trump’s health resurfaced after a circular red mark was noticed above his left eyebrow during a public appearance on March 11. The mark was visible as Trump spoke with reporters before leaving the White House alongside press secretary Karoline Leavitt. The White House did not publicly explain its cause, leading to speculation online. Some social media users wondered whether it was a bruise or an injury, while others commented on his appearance and compared the mark with bruises previously seen on his hands and neck.

The eyebrow mark appeared shortly after Trump was photographed with another bruise on his neck during a March 2 Medal of Honor ceremony. His physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, later explained that the redness was linked to a preventative skin treatment and was expected to remain visible for several weeks. Earlier in the year, Trump had also developed a bruise on his left hand, which he said happened after accidentally striking it against furniture. He has also acknowledged that taking daily aspirin can make him more prone to bruising.

Barbabella confirmed that Trump takes 325 milligrams of aspirin each day, a dosage used in some aspirin therapies and higher than the commonly cited 81-milligram low dose. Trump’s health also attracted attention after the White House disclosed in July that he had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency following an evaluation for mild swelling in his lower legs. Reported medical testing found no evidence of deep vein thrombosis, arterial disease, heart failure, or kidney problems. Chronic venous insufficiency is common among older adults and occurs when weakened vein valves allow blood to collect in the legs, potentially causing swelling, discomfort, and changes to the skin.

Attention increased further because of several disruptions during Trump’s March 11 appearance in Kentucky. The White House livestream briefly malfunctioned, his audio later developed an echo, and his speech was interrupted when a spectator fainted nearby. Emergency medical personnel responded, and Dr. Mehmet Oz was also seen assisting. Although these incidents generated significant discussion online, they do not establish that Trump was experiencing a medical problem. Likewise, the cause of the new mark above his eyebrow remains unclear without an official medical explanation.
