Answer: How Many Chickens Are by the Corn Crib

Did you get the answer right? Take one more careful look at the picture and count only the real chickens gathered around the corn crib and feed pan. Some of the birds are partly hidden or overlapping, so it can be surprisingly easy to lose track of the total.

The correct answer is 16 real chickens! 🐔 To check your count, start by scanning the area around the corn crib and fence. Then look closely at the chickens near the feed pan and hay before counting the birds in the foreground. Be sure to leave out the painted rooster sign on the fence.

That rooster sign is one of the puzzle’s biggest tricks because it can easily look like another real bird at first glance. Several of the actual chickens are also standing close together or partly hidden, making it easy to miss one or accidentally count the same chicken twice.

So, what number did you come up with before checking the answer? Were you able to find all 16 chickens, or did the rooster sign fool you? Share your result in the comments and challenge a friend to see if they can spot every real chicken!
